Welcome to the Before and After School Age Programs situated at CD Howe School and St. Bernard School!

The School Age Programs are a safe inviting learning environment for children from Junior Kindergarten to 12 years of age.

The Registered Early Childhood Educators provides a variety of age appropriate materials that promote creativity, independence and cooperation. Materials such as loose parts, developmentally appropriate games, books, large manipulatives and soft cozy areas, allows the children to choose their activity based on their interests. The School Age Program extends their program with homework time and the use of Technology for research.

The children explore and create indoors and outdoors while the Educator’s see themselves as co-learners. The Educators allow and guide the children with opportunities for role modelling, confidence building, and promote positive social relationships with the Educators, and with other children at Harbour View Child Care Centre.

The Before and After School program at our St. Bernard’s site is a shared space with the school. The program has daily access to the gym and both playgrounds.
